Further to the above, with the Covid19 pandemic, there have been massive job losses, to add to the already exponentially high unemployment rate in South Africa. 4Opportunities will therefore play a pivotal role in connecting those who are seeking employment or re-employment with current or near- term job opportunities in their local community.
The 4Opportunities Portal, will allow Interns, Students, Tradesmen and recently unemployed people to easily register themselves on the portal and in so doing, find meaningful employment opportunities within their local community.
4Opportunities is also directly linked to 4traders, www.4traders.co.za, a subsidiary company of 4Portals, which is a contractor management portal that lists businesses and controls access of the labour force into restricted area and construction sites in South Africa. These Contractors and local Businesses are always looking for local, skilled and reputable people and they too will easily be able to find and employ these people.
The 4Opportunties Portal, is also closely aligned with local Business Chambers as part of their ‘Business Stability Initiative’, to facilitate the electronic and online record keeping of how many local people are employed across all construction sites in a particular geography or community.
4Opportunities has been designed to allow interns and job seekers to easily upload their qualifications and experience to allow business owners to find exactly the skills they are looking for.
This is achieved by dynamically linking the skills and experience that potential employers are seeking with people that have those skills or are seeking an internship to attain those skills. The intention is for people to be trained for or to be linked to jobs or internships that either exist now, or will exist when they have finished their studies or internships.
4Opportunities believes by using its dynamic, real-time mapping engine, people can be assured of either an internship or a job once they have either finished studying. In this way 4Opportunities will help to mitigate unemployment of people who have studied for a particular skill or trade, only to find there are no work opportunities for them when they have completed their studies.
Furthermore regional and local business chambers will be leveraging off of 4Oppportunties to find suitable locally skilled people to fulfil new positions or internships within their companies. 4Opportunities uses Geo-Location technology to facilitates the hiring of ‘local’ people where possible and also then allows these companies, estates and restricted area sites to accurately account for how many local employees they employ.
